Cusatis, Angelita: - Growing up, Angelita Cusatis was an avid reader and would get excited for the summer reading list every year. She became such a voracious reader that it led to her profession as a commercial contracts manager, aka the resident bad cop. Despite her immersion into the world of reading, she never imagined herself writing a book, much less becoming an author.Then, she endured unforeseen events on her journey to become a mother in a same-sex relationship and knew she had to share her story. Angelita was inspired to reveal how she built her family so others struggling with loss, hope, and grief could feel her presence and know that no matter what, it is going to be okay. Her journey, although fraught with incredibly tragic turns, has forged an unbreakable bond with her wife and given her the greatest gift of all. She knows everyone's journey is different, and no matter the outcome, you must love yourself through the unpredictable and, sometimes, the unfathomable. Angelita enjoys traveling, yoga, working out, summer mornings, reading, and doing work that leaves an impact on her community. She lives in the suburbs of Maryland with her wife, baby boy, and cute dog. You can find them traveling, cuddling, and soaking up the precious early days of their child's life as they watch him grow up too fast. This is her first book.
