Fermange is a province of knights, castles, dragons...and veterinarians. Stephen Oshrand, newly apprenticed to Dr. James Wright, discovers there's more to being a veterinarian than he anticipated. Weaving through their adventures, difficulties and dangers abound in their encounters with a sickly dragon, a troublesome cockatrice, a rampaging hydra, and other extraordinary creatures.
