Alicia Connolly-Lohr, author of Fire and Apparition, is a retired attorney and military officer. After working in the South, Japan and Washington D.C., she returned to Wisconsin. She traded in her legal brief writing skills for researching and writing fiction. For over 15 years, she has been a serious hobbyist writer. She has self-published three prior novels, Lawyer Lincoln in Transit to Freedom; President Lincoln's Other War, and Coastie Kid: A Hurricane Katrina Mystery. Intriguing real people and actual past events have served as inspiration for her historical fiction.
