Cara Skinner is a certified elementary special education teacher who taught for the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District for nine years. While working as a special education teacher, she had the opportunity to co-teach classes with fourth and fifth grade teachers and taught Texas and American history. She also served in the military as a radio transmitter repairer at the Husterhoeh Kaserne in Pirmasens, Germany. She and her husband of twenty-two years, Larry Skinner, reside in Baytown, Texas.
