As we age, the quality of life is often related to how well we can cope with loss. And the losses are many: the death of our loved ones, but also the loss of who we ourselves once were physically, and sometimes in varying degrees, mentally. Adding to this difficult list are the times when a spouse, partner, sibling, or dear friend faces serious illness and health challenges.
