Festshrift - "a collection of writings published in honor of a scholar."

While that is the normal definition of festschrift, this book offers much more. Dr. Bill Ury has enjoyed a distinguished career as an academic, preacher and theological leader throughout his life. The son of missionaries, early on he caught the spirit of service and deep, abiding love of God, fully giving himself to the Lord for His glory. Along the way, he poured himself not only into his work but his family and countless students, associates, members of his congregation and Salvationists. The title of the book, Holy Love, has been the theme of his life.

Each essay is more than a tribute to Dr. Ury by offering a challenge to the thinking and passions of those who name Christ as Savior. In it all, God is glorified. Read and be blessed.
