Marvel, Lucilla Fuller: - Lucilla Fuller Marvel has lived in San Juan on the island of Puerto Rico since moving there in 1959 with her husband, Thomas S. Marvel, and three-month old son, raising two more sons, practicing participatory social and urban planning, and enjoying seven grandchildren. With a BA in Architectural Sciences from Harvard and a Masters from the University of Puerto Rico Graduate School of Planning, where she taught for many years, Fuller Marvel has authored numerous publications and books, including Listen to What They Say, Planning and Community Development in Puerto Rico. The other island in her life is Bear Island, in Penobscot Bay, Maine, where she has known the Hardie family all of her life, including Jim Hardie, during her time spent there in summers.
