Luis Miguel Rivas nació en Cartago en 1969 y creció en Envigado, al sur de Medellín. Antes de dedicarse de lleno a la escritura y a acompañar talleres literarios, trabajó como libretista y realizador audiovisual. Con el Fondo Editorial Eafit publicó sus dos primeros libros: Los amigos míos se viven muriendo (2007) y Tareas no hechas (2014). Los demás los ha publicado en Seix Barral: Más tareas no hechas (2023), Malabarista nervioso (2022), Era más grande el muerto (2017) y ¿Nos vamos a ir como estamos pasando de bueno? (2015). También es autor del poemario Hoy no quiero metáforas (Angosta). Vive y trabaja en Buenos Aires.

Luis Miguel Rivas was born in Cartago in 1969 and grew up in Envigado, south of Medellín. Before dedicating himself fully to writing and accompanying literary workshops, he worked as a screenwriter and audiovisual producer. With the Fondo Editorial Eafit, he published his first two books: Los amigos míos se viven muriendo (2007) and Tareas no hechas (2014). The rest were published by Seix Barral: Más tareas no hechas (2023), Malabarista nervioso (2022), Era más grande el muerto (2017), and ¿Nos vamos a ir como estamos pasando de bueno? (2015). He is also the author of the poetry collection Hoy no quiero metáforas (Angosta). He lives and works in Buenos Aires.
