Suddenly, Luke must devise a new plan and one that shouldn't involve the town veterinarian and pin-up gorgeous Cara Addison.

Cara is a Twin Elks enigma. Any attempt to date Cara lands the male residents of Twin Elks in the friend zone. Until smooth-talking, smoking-hot Luke Crowe comes to town and challenges her man moratorium. But Cara has a good reason for swearing off men-her controlling, narcissist ex-husband.

Reeling from her previous marriage, Cara is unable to trust her judgment when it comes to men. With a new daughter and his life spinning out of control, Luke has no room for once-bitten-twice-shy Cara. As their attraction tugs the couple closer together, both of their pasts keep pulling them apart.
