As the world's wealthy left on the first waves of colony ships, those that remained grew up in the helpless, smoke-filled and neon-lit wasteland that was left behind.
While some, like Galatea Byrd - activist, philanthropist, genius - dream of changing the world, others seek to build a life in the indomitable industry of Hollywood. Bee is one of these people. They're also a sentient android; a feeling droid, to use the proper name.
Being the unstable first creation of hack roboticist Jake Byrd, Bee was never given much chance of handling their own mind, let alone the fast-paced life of a movie star. Still, they have to try.
The end of the world has come. The cameras keep rolling.
