The coronavirus pandemic has challenged leaders in every facet of society. This crisis has called into question the policies and practices of corporations and civic orga- nizations. It has exposed the inequities within our nation and within our world, especially in terms of access to health care and support for healthcare professionals. And, of course, the church is not exempt.

Pastors and leaders, know yourself (quirks, mental health, what angers and motivates you), the preexisting culture (traditions, history, influencers), and the current culture (expectations of people, emotional health of staff) of the organizations you lead. This methodology to lead- ership will result in you having a sharper focus as you seek to be a sound and effectual leader. This is the labor and commitment of the pandemic pastor.
