Read this my children, and you shall learn of life as it was when I was young; a simple life there is no doubt but one filled with miracles, nonetheless.

The world was changing. Electricity! Tractors! Indoor facilities! Television! Jet airplanes! They all followed my arrival.

I was born on the edge of the great depression, a low point in this nation's history that no one, except the very wealthy escaped entirely. It was a time of hunger and despair. My story begins while the country is still in the recovery stage.

But this is not a story of depressions, nor of sorrow. It is of a slower, happier time.....my childhood.

Through the pages of this book we'll share those days together.
